Three alleged terrorists were killed in an encounter with the Indian army that began late last night in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
"Three terrorists have been killed while one soldier has sustained injuries during the operation," an official told PTI.
According to the official, the encounter began late last night when Indian troops launched a search operation in Khumhair forests of Handwara tehsil, 100 kms from Srinagar, following information about the presence of the militants.
The identity of the slain militants and their group affiliation is yet to be ascertained. One jawan was also injured in the encounter.
