Imagine a reality show that's part Bigg Boss, part Khatron Ke Khiladi, and part Temptation Island, featuring well-known celebrity couples. That's the premise of Power Couples, a hit Israeli reality show that has also been sold in various other countries, such as China and South Africa.
Now, this show is all set to come to India. Sources close to Sony Entertainment Television told HuffPost India that the official rights of Power Couple have been licensed and the show will air on their channel by the end of October or early November.
"The format of the show will be tweaked slightly keeping Indian sensibilities in mind," added the source.
Power Couples sells itself as the ultimate relationship test for couples, where money is also at stake along with trust. Participants have to carry out various tasks that test their individual courage as well as their relationships. Their significant others have to bet amounts on their partners' abilities to complete these tasks. Meanwhile, the couples also have to stay in a house together.
