Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a townhall session at Facebook Inc's Menlo Park headquarters later this month.
According to an announcement by Facebook as well as a post on Mark Zuckerberg's page, the two would publicly meet on September 27, discuss "how communities can work together to address social and economic challenges," as well have Modi answer questions at the fora and those who send in their queries via the social network.
This will be the second time that Modi and Zuckerberg will be meeting following the Facebook billionaire's India visit last October where they discussed PM Modi discussed "...the use of social media in checking terror activities..." and Zuckerberg "...expressed his interest in working with the government in the areas of healthcare and education..."
Narendra's Modi's second visit to the US--following the high profile one, days of his becoming PM of Inda--is to the UN General Assembly but will also include visits to several companies in tech goldmine Silicon Valley, such as SpaceX' headquarters. However several academics in the US have voiced reservations about this visit.
