New Delhi -- The capital was left reeling in shock after it was reported that two minor girls -- one two-years-old and the other 5-years-old -- had been raped in different parts of the city on Friday night.

The news comes close on the heels of another gangrape of a four-year-old girl in the city.

The two-and-a-half-year-old was abducted from Nangloi area in west Delhi. A report on NDTV quotes the child's mother as saying, "My girl was watching Ramleela when there was a power cut. That is when they kidnapped her."

The girl was later found by the neighbours, lying unconscious in a park in the neighbourhood. She was reported to have been bleeding profusely when she was found.

The other incident occurred in east Delhi's Anand Vihar area, where a five-year-old girl was abducted and gangraped by three men.

India Today reports: "Reports say that she was alone at home a neighbour took her to his house and then raped her along with his friends. Later, when some people saw her coming out of the neighbour's house crying with blood on her clothes they informed the police."

The three accused in the Anand Vihar case has been arrested by the police. However, the culprits in the Nangloi case are at large.

According to various reports, the two-and-half-year-old girl is in a very critical condition and the doctors had to conduct multiple surgeries to stop her bleeding.
