However, like a good friend in need, Sachin Tendulkar has come to his aid by tweeting out to millions of his followers in New York and elsewhere to gather their energy and look for Allan Donald's passport. Sachin has offered the finder a reward as well - a glorious opportunity to meet the #CricketAllStars.

Allan's hopes have been dashed so far...

For those who do not know Allan Donald, he is a former South African cricketer who was one of the best fast bowlers in Test cricket. Cricket-buffs will recall him as an aggressive and scowling fast bowler with white patches of zinc across his cheeks which earned him the nickname 'white lightning'.
An opportunity to meet the Cricket All-Stars is no small deal. As the name suggests, it is an upcoming cricket tournament based on the T20 format studded with some of the best cricketers from all over the world. The tournament will be held in New York City in November 2015 and will have two teams clashing, each captained by Sachin Tendulkar and cricketing rival Shane Warne.
Responses to Sachin's SOS were both interesting and amusing. While some people showed their fervent admiration for their favourite cricketer.
@sachin_rt Wish I was in New York. I would have walked all the streets for @AllanDonald33 :D
