Didn't love the trailer for Rohit Shetty's upcoming Dilwale? Join the club.
The Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer, which releases on December 18, had a star-studded trailer launch recently. However, while the trailer expectedly got a huge number of views, it was derided by many for being too generic (including us).
A fortnight ago, a spoof video that uses the audio from the Dilwale trailer set to scenes from the animated movie Despicable Me 2 (2013) was uploaded. On Saturday, it was shared by many on social media and written about on websites such as Bollywood Life.
Shetty's over-the-top approach, inherently cartoonish in its nature, seems to work much better when set to the antics of Gru (Despicable Me 2's protagonist, voiced by Steve Carell) and his hilarious minions.
