You may have thought Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most loved person on the Internet, but turns out he really isn't. Google has released its Year in Search 2015 list--where it lists what people all over the world have searched the most in this year.
For the third year in running, Sunny Leone is the most searched person on Google in India. She is also the most searched Indian globally. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister who was the second most searched person in Google India last year has gone down 8 positions.
Sunny Leone is clearly loving all the attention:
According to Google's list, Indians have searched for Salman Khan, APJ Abdul Kalam, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Kajal Agarwal and Alia Bhatt more often than they have typed the letters M-O-D-I.
Incidentally, Modi was the second most searched in India last year. That was the same year he came to power as the Prime Minister of the country.
The search trends this year saw a change on top with Flipkart dethroning IRCTC to top the 'Most Searched Searches' term list in India with the latter taking the second spot. IRCTC topped 'Most Searched Searches' list both in 2013 and 2014.
