Even as Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley filed a defamation suit against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and some of his party colleagues on Monday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government would be pitching no other than former BJP law minister Ram Jethmalani to contest Jaitley's claim.
Well placed sources with the Delhi Government told ANI that veteran lawyer Ram Jethmalani would be appearing for Chief Minister Kejriwal.
Earlier in the day, the Finance Minister filed a civil defamation suit of Rs 10 crores against Kejriwal and other AAP leaders in the Delhi High Court.
The Patiala House court on Monday set January 5 as the next date of hearing for the criminal defamation case filed by Jaitley against Kejriwal and other AAP leaders.
