The 2016 edition of the European Figure Skating Championships held in Slovakia welcomed a stellar Bollywood entry by Russian Olympic champions Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov.
The couple delivered a flawless performance, while dancing to 'Nagada Sang Dhol' from Goliyaan Ki Rasleela Ram Leela, which earned them their fourth gold in the championship. Trankov wore a simple white kurta-pyjama ensemble with slim embroidery at the edges, while Volosozhar sparkled in a beautiful green outfit replete with Indian-inspired makeup.
The thrilled audience broke into synchronised claps in the middle of their beautiful performance that had every little detail down to the last note (watch how at 2:34 they appear synchronise their foot movement at the time the song mentions 'pairon se bedi zara khol' (unlock the shackles off my feet).
However, they're not the first to have scored a victory with Bollywood backing them up: In 2010, Meryl Davis and Charlie White became a big hit, especially in the Indian subcontinent, when they edged one step closer to victory by performing on a medley of 'Kajrare', 'Silsila Yeh Chahat Ka' and 'Dhola Re Dhola'
