Here’s another thing that might help put Agra on the map, apart from the Taj Mahal, that is. Two brothers, Faizal and Anis Khan from the city, have made what may be the world’s ‘heaviest and largest underwear’ according to a Times of India report.
The brothers hope that the 18-feet-tall, 2kg-bright blue underwear will put their names in the Guinness Book of World Records. "Underpants have always been one of the most famous props for all those who are attempting a world record," said Faizal.
Anis, Faizal’s younger brother told TOI about how the wheels were set in motion when he chanced across news about the largest gathering of people wearing only underwear in 2011. "I found it interesting but was sure such an act would not be possible in India. We also searched for many other things related to underwear including wearing the most number of underpants, but failed. That is when we decided to make the world’s largest underwear.”
They had their brief: To put the pants in world record books. It took them over eight hours, and Rs 5,000 (for the material) to come up with a winner. Their efforts were rewarded when the Guinness team expressed interest. “Our video was in Hindi, they have asked us to send a video in English, Russian or French,” said the duo who is determined to establish a record.
