In a bizarre turn of events, candidates appearing for the army recruitment examination in Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, were asked strip down to their underwear and then write the exams. The authorities found this to be the only hassle-free way to prevent cheating.
Over 1,150 candidates had turned up for the exam on Sunday when they were ordered to take off their clothes and write the exam while sitting down on an open ground, reported ANI.
The director of the recruitment board on Tuesday tried to justify the decision by saying that they had previously encountered unpleasant experiences with candidates cheating blatantly. He even said that the 'radical decision was the need of the hour'.

Sources at the Army Regional Office (ARO) told The Indian Express that the candidates were asked to remove their clothes to 'save time from frisking so many people'.
The examination which was being conducted for the recruitment of clerks in the army, created a furore on social media and drew the High Court's attention to the matter. The Patna High Court has now sought a reply from Defence Secretary RK Mathur over the matter.
According to media reports, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has also sought a report from Army Chief Dalbir Singh on this issue.
