Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked the country’s people and armed forces to prepare for all eventualities, ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said on Tuesday.

The statement comes after India said it had struck terror camps across the Line of Control, killing a number of terrorists in a strike by the Air Force.

PTI said Khan has decided to engage with global leadership to “expose irresponsible Indian policy in the region.”

The Pakistan PM appreciated timely and effective response of the Pakistan Air Force “to repulse Indian attempt without any loss of life or property”, PTI said.

Pakistan has also rejected India’s statement of targeting terrorist camps near Balakot across the Line of Control.

The country’s National Security Committee said the Indian government had resorted to a “self serving, reckless and fictitious claim”.

PTI tweeted details of the NSC meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan after reports of the strike.

PTI said international and domestic media would be taken to the site of the strike, which it said was open for the world to see.

“Pakistan shall respond at the time and place of its choosing,” the party said. It has announced a joint session of the parliament.
