If you’re really looking to get into the spirit of Women’s Day, this cover of Shaggy’s ‘Strength Of A Woman’ (from his 2002 album Lucky Day) might be good start. Delhi-based karaoke jockey and singer Tanya Nambiar recently uploaded her melodically rendered version of the song as a dedication to women (especially her friends) all over the world on Women's Day.

Accompanied by pianist and photographer Vishal Dixit and Abhishek Lal on the guitar, Nambiar's video is shot simply, with a focus on the musicians, adding to the easy vibe she's managed to accomplish in this jazzy and even more tuneful take on the original reggae-influenced number.

If you want to compare the two, here's the original version by Shaggy to groove along to. Happy Women's Day!
