KS Eshwarappa, Karnataka BJP leader and former deputy chief minister of Karnataka, said during a speech on Monday that his party would not give tickets to Muslims because Muslims don’t trust the BJP.
Eshwarappa also hit out at the Congress claiming the party only treated Muslims as vote banks.
ANI reported Eshwarappa as saying, “Congress uses you only as a vote bank, doesn’t give you ticket. We won’t give Muslims tickets because you don’t believe in us. Believe us and we’ll give you tickets and other things.”
Eshwarappa is known to make communal remarks. In January, 2018 Eshwarappa had said that Muslims associated with the Congress were bad Muslims. “Muslims who have killed 22 RSS and BJP activists are with the Congress and those who are good Muslims are with the BJP. Muslims who are killers are with the Congress,” he had said.
