Congratulatory messages and good wishes poured in for Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar as their film Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) was adjudged Best Hindi Film at the 63rd National Film Awards, announced Monday.
Ecstatic with joy, Khurrana surprised his fans with a beautiful, impromptu rendition of the song 'Moh Moh Ke Dhaage' from the film, composed by Anu Malik.
Incidentally, the song itself has also won two National Awards: one for playback singer Monali Thakur and another for lyricist Varun Grover.
Meanwhile, actress Pednekar, who has been in the news for her drastic weight-loss after the film, tweeted:
Sharat Katariya's Dum Laga Ke Haisha is set in the 1990s and revolves around the life of a mismatched, newly-married couple living in Haridwar.
Other winners of the 63rd National Film Awards include Baahubali: The Beginning for the Best Feature Film, Amitabh Bachchan as the Best Actor for Piku and Kangana Ranaut as the Best Actress for the film Tanu Weds Manu Returns, among others.
