Hong Kong is always on the move. From the rising skyline forever competing with the fast-paced city life, to the cacophony of lights, this is a place that is as lively as it is varied. Amidst all the crowds, bustle and diversity, forming the core of the city are its tireless inhabitants, providing the beat to the city's pulsing heart.
It was those countless faces that riveted me. And sometimes, just sometimes, they stopped moving. They took a moment to pause, finding momentary respite from the chaos of their lives and reinforcing their individuality amongst the mass of humanity around them.
Amid the motion and commotion of the city, I saw people pausing to grab a smoke, to check messages, to get momentarily lost in private thoughts, to eat a thoughtful breakfast, to catch a quick nap in the city that never sleeps.
These pictures are a series of stolen moments, the in-between moments, from the lives of the people of Hong Kong.
