Nair faces about 40 cases of cheating in the scam.

The solar panel scam pertains to alleged duping of several people to the tune of crores of rupees by Saritha and her accomplice Biju Radhakrishnan by offering solar panel solutions.

A judicial commission probing the scam, submitted a report in 2017 saying top Congress leaders in the state purchased contracts and gave out subsidies to Nair’s firm in return for bribes and sexual favours, The Indian Express reported. Former chief minister Oommen Chandy was also named in the report.
