A woman barely managed to escape her abductor, who allegedly attempted to rape her at an under-construction building near her paying-guest accommodation in south Bengaluru. The abduction, which took place on 23 April while the woman was speaking to someone on the phone, was recorded in CCTV.
In the video, the man is seeing approach the woman stealthily and then grab her by the waist and carry her off. She has said that she managed to escape after she bit her abductor's hand and raised alarm. No passersby helped her.
The woman, who hails from Manipur and works at a private beauty parlour, has alleged that even though she complained to the police following the incident, no action was taken.
