Ever since his tweet on Malala Yousafzai last year, where he called her 'Masala' instead of 'Malala', Bollywood actor Jackky Bhagnani became synonymous with stupidity.
Now, the actor has come up with a video where he mocks himself for his mistake and says his "world changed with just that one tweet."
In a video that was uploaded on YouTube yesterday, the actor wishes the Nobel Prize winner on her birthday, and apologizes to her for his faux pas.
Malala Yousafzai will turn 18 on 12 July.
Last year, when Malala's name was announced as recipient for the Nobel Peace Prize along with Kailash Satyarthi, thousands tweeted congratulating the duo.
Bhagnani's tweet read,"Such good news to hear about masala and the noble peace price. My speech In #youngistaan was inspired by her!!(sic)". In no time, the actor's timeline was filled with criticisms and jokes on him.
Yes, there were three spelling mistakes. Malala became 'Masala', Nobel became 'noble' and prize became 'price'. In the new video, the Rangrezz actor says, "I will never forget that day. Three spelling mistakes in honour of someone who is fighting for children's education...what was I thinking?"
Bhagnani then points out that he was not the only one who couldn't spell Malala right.
Bhagnani's video is somewhat similar to the parody Alia Bhatt featured in after she was trolled for not knowing the President of India's name.
