Congress member Renuka Chowdhury has become the subject of netizens’ wrath after a Twitter user uploaded a photo of her dining while a child’s nanny was kept standing.
The tweet went viral and was retweeted 1700 times in a single day after criticism against the former Union Minister of Women and Child Development’s insensitive behaviour started pouring in.
Twitteratti, though offended by her gesture, also harped on how the former minister was not the only one to do so.
This comes soon after a recent survey showed that India had the largest number of enslaved people in the world.
