Here's How Salman Khan Fans Are Justifying His 'Raped Woman' Comment

Salman Khan's recent faux pas doesn't seem like one to his loyal fan base, who have been quick to defend his flippant remark.

The actor, who compared his worn-out state after Sultan's shoot to that of a 'raped woman' drew a lot of online criticism, but there was a fair amount of support too, and the hashtag #SalmanMisquoted started trending on Twitter Tuesday morning.

An audio recording of the group interview where the remark was made surfaced soon after, in which it is clear that he wasn't misquoted; he merely made his analogy and then added, "I don't think you should use that" even as people around him, shockingly, tittered.

To misquote is to either make up a quote that was never said by the star or present it inaccurately, neither of which happened with Khan. The statement he made was reported by the media verbatim; the request to strike it off the record is at the discretion of the journalist.

However, Bhai's Twitter 'army' has been vociferously defending the star.

Like this person who won't tolerate anything against Sallu.

The one who thinks the media should be shamed.

This woman who knows Salman's ways better than anyone.

Shine bright like a diamond.

Being Human since 1989.

The world is not enough.

According to this Bhai fan, 'nothing hurtful' about making a misguided rape analogy.

Bestest.

"Not in a wrong sense." NONSENSE.

Oh, poor Sallu.

Basically...
