Motorola is launching 'Moto Xpress', a service through which customers can get their phones serviced without leaving the comfort of their homes.
The service will first launch in New Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida as a pilot project. 'Moto Xpress' promises to address issues in their smartphone models within five working days.
“In case, an issue arises with your Motorola smartphone, you can dial our Moto Xpress Service Booking number ‘011-41717124’. As you register your request, our service staff will reach out to a trained Motorola representative who will be at your doorstep on his bike,” the company said in a statement.
A cost of Rs 199 will be levied for this service. The other option - of going to a service center - is also becoming easier as Motorola expands its reach. The company has around 160 centres in India. While the phones are available online only, the company has recently set up a 3,000 square feet 'Moto Care' centre in Bangalore to provide after-sales service and support.
A beefed-up servicing presence makes sense, as Motorola rolls out more models in India, such as the Moto X Style, Play and the next generation of Moto G.
