World Wishes Luck To Google's New CEO, India-Born Sundar Pichai

As soon as Google co-founder Larry Page announced the name of India-born Sundar Pichai as the new CEO of the tech giant, wishes started to pour in from around the world.

Page also announced the formation of the new parent company Alphabet, of which he will be the CEO and Google co-founder Sergey Brin will be President.

Pichai, 43, is a long-time Google executive who most recently served as the company's senior vice president of products, according to Reuters. Pichai, a well-liked executive who oversaw Google's Android and Chrome units, is respected in Silicon Valley for attracting top engineers.

Among the first to wish him were Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner and Apple CEO Tim Cook.













Bret Taylor, former CTO of Facebook was among those who wished Pichai luck. Danny Sullivan, Chief Content Officer at Third Door Media, and co-founder of Search Engine Land, also tweeted to Pichai.
