Social media was awash with tweets, pictures and wishes this weekend as Bollywood celebrities wished their siblings a 'Happy Rakhi'.

Arpita Khan Sharma proudly shared several pictures of tying a rakhi on brother Salman Khan's wrist, while Farah Khan tweeted out a cute picture of her three kids. Amitabh Bachchan also posted out a picture of his colourfully-adorned wrist while newly-married Shahid Kapoor posed for a selfie with his sister.

Even politicians got in on the act. ANI shared a photograph of Arvind Kejriwal at his sister's place in Hardwar, while students decorated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's wrist with colourful rakhis.

Akshay Kumar decided to put on a little act with his "partner in crime since childhood."
