In modern times, most bureaucrats know how the social protocols work and not interrupting when mantriji is speaking features high on the list. A government official learnt it the hard way when Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das suspended him allegedly for walking past him on the podium when he was in the middle of a speech.

There seems to be no end to the entitlement of politicians.

The official, who ABP News identified as ADM Anil Kumar Singh, reportedly offended Das when he walked past him when he was speaking at a conference.

Glaring at Singh as he walked past, Das asked the rest of the members on stage, "Kaun hai yeh? Tameez nahi hai? Suspend karo issko..." (Who is he? Has he no manners? Suspend him...)

Recently, Das' government was blamed by the Congress for asking the Centre to declare Jharkhand drought-hit to "mislead" the people as "the state government had failed on all fronts".

The picture of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader who made his Personal Security Officer carry him across a stream on his back had recently gone viral, leading to much outrage on social media. Jammu BJP MLA Krishan Lal defended himself by saying that his security officer was "hired to help him".

Rachpal Singh, the minister for Planning and Development in West Bengal, had also prompted angry reactions after he was caught on camera allowing a police bodyguard assigned to him to tie his showlace.
