Eid-Ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan, is being celebrated across the country on Saturday, except for Kerala, where it was celebrated on Friday.
While it was expected that Eid would be celebrated be n Friday, the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid had announced on Thursday that because the moon was not sighted on that evening, Eid would be held on Saturday.
