Apple is expected to launch a new set of products at an event at 10:30 PM IST, live-streamed from the tech giant's headquarters at Infinite Loop, California. Consumers can watch the event through their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch having iOS 7.0 or later. For Mac users, the stream will be available on Safari OS X v10.8.5 or later. Windows users can also see the event on their Edge browsers on Windows 10.
The event is likely to mark the launch of the much-rumoured and much-awaited 4-inch iPhone. Reports suggest that this smaller version of the iPhone will be called iPhone se. The phone is will run on Apple's latest A9 chip and will have the fingerprint sensor to support Apple Pay as well. It will have a similar design as iPhone 6s.
Apart from the smaller iPhone the Cupertino tech giant is expected to release a 9.7 inch iPad. Reportedly this will be an iPad Air 3 but with some borrowed features of iPad Pro which Apple released last year in their September event. The new iPad is speculated to have a smart connector, quad array speakers, and A9X processor.
The event might also have announcements for updates on the Apple watch and probably new bands as well. The MacBook line is waiting for an upgrade too, but it is unclear that if this event is going to have any notebook announcement. Meanwhile, there are rumors of a 5.8 inch iPhone (iPhone Pro) also coming out.
Another interesting thing for this event will be to see if Apple talks about encryption and their ongoing tussle with FBI. Recently, Tim Cook had denied the order of the court to make a customized OS to unlock a terrorist's iPhone 5C. The company strongly rallied in favour of privacy with the promise of helping the government in legit cases. Yesterday, the US Department of Justice called out Apple's rhetoric 'false' and 'corrosive' in a response.
